10. Streetlights Over Halos

When nine out of ten
are wrapped up warmly in their beds
with halos of dreams encircling their heads,
this ambience is set for my eyes alone.
On these streets I feel at home.

I don't need the stars.
I've got streetlight after streetlight
to breathe color into my world.
Back lit by moonlight,
an afterthought, streetlight after streetlight
casts its glow over my world.

Nine out of ten
wrapped up warm in their beds
with halos of dreams wrapped around their heads.
I don't need to search my soul
to find what I already know!

I don't need the stars.
I've got streetlight after streetlight
to breathe color into my world.
Back lit by moonlight,
an afterthought, streetlight after streetlight
casts its glow over my world.

I don't need to search my soul to find what I already know!

Nine out of ten
warm in their beds;
I don't need a halo to contemplate in my head.

I don't need a halo to compliment my head.

I don't need a halo to complicate my head.
