1. The Logical Consequence Of Cubism

A scene as a cityscape:
blocked, bland, unimaginative.
Lacking any transcendent aesthetic aura.
Reading too much into these colors,
these shapes, these lines hide no deeper thought.
This is the logical consequence!

Where is the mind full of inquiry?
A passion for the abstract slowly faded.
Thoughts are linear, separate, and solid
with no convergence.
This is the logical consequence!

Where have all the visionaries gone?
The oceans we once sought to tame have all dried up
exposing only options already seen.

We've come to accept our options.
Intrepid spirits, subsided, are replaced
by ambitions no more than passing thoughts.
We've come to accept our diminished purpose!

This is the logical consequence!

Lines set bold in paint.
Thought in patterns lost.
We're trapped inside the box.
